 The 625 Douglas Project

Summer 2017 the Economic Development Department of Sioux City alerted LAMB that since KCAU Channel 9 would be vacating 625 Douglas, that location would be available for a new tenant--or would be razed.  After considerable thought and consultation, the decision was made to restore this historic building and bring it back as a beautiful source of Arts and Community as was its original intent in 1909.

LAMB Theatre, currently located at 417 Market has been an important part of the Arts Scene in Siouxland since 1979.

This project will has three very important and equally important components:

The LAMB Theatre and School’s Mission is to serve as an artistic focal point for our region through quality theatrical productions and innovative arts curriculum which provides our audiences, performers and students first class experiences where dedication, excellence and professionalism are the norm; affirming our belief that quality arts opportunities should be accessible to everyone.

LAMB Reviews

Top Rated since 2011

I have been a LAMB supporter for years. Not only have I never been disappointed with a production, but, my expectations are most often far exceeded. I appreciate that LAMB presents a variety of theatre experiences from thought-provoking to pure enjoyment. I have attended a number of productions featuring the LAMB School students and their enthusiasm and talent are incredible! It seems apparent that LAMB is providing them outstanding education and opportunity in the theatre arts. We are very fortunate to have this marvelous showcase for local talent. I feel very proud that our community offers theatre of this caliber both for students and audiences!

I enrolled my grandaughter in the summer school session 2 years ago and she absolutely loved it. She wanted to then go to the entire season that corresponds with the school year. One thing I noticed in the classes she attends, all the kids come out at the end of class beaming - sometimes singing in the halls and dancing as they leave for the day. I highly recommend these classes to anyone with a child. This has exposed her to a new world, and we now go see all the musicals that come through Sioux City. Go figure my 9 year old would enjoy a new side of dance and music!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this theatre. From the actors, to the crew, to the staff, LAMB is full of incredible and inspirational talent. Such a great place to see live theatre and participate in live theatre!
